The rain poured over his armor and through his clothing, burying him in a freezing veil and weighing him down, but he stood straight and tall, staring down at the valley below. The mages behind him fired spell after spell, pelting the retreating Demacians mercilessly. He couldn't believe his eyes because his plan, no matter how far-fetched it had been, had worked. He had managed to turn a rout into a victory- and all it took was a single stroke of his axe. He couldn't completely stop the smile from sliding onto his face.
